Aura

A light held by stone. Aura is made from a natural stone volume with a circular opening at its centre. Through this void, light appears gently. The object is based on a precise contrast: stone as mass, light as presence. One is static, dense, and ancient; the other is immaterial and alive. Together they create a quiet threshold, a small window through which the eye can enter another dimension.

The lamp is part of the exhibit “Design Beyond Things” at Expo 2025 Osaka which presents 35 design projects from 17 EU countries at the EU Pavilion, offering a contemporary reading of European design.The prototype is realised by Nerinea.
