Bäcknate

Bäcknate is a flat sheet of Tyvek that becomes light. Made from scored sheets, it takes shape by hand through a sequence of simple folds, held in place by removable pins. The suspension lamp is composed of three assembled flower-like elements, while the table lamp is a single orchid-inspired flower resting on a cylindrical base, like a flower placed in a vase. More than simply illuminating a space, Bäcknate turns assembly into a quiet domestic ritual, an act that requires no effort, only attention.
